August Updates

Trash 2 Treasure Continues

Our Trash 2 Treasure sale was off to a great start for the day, until the dark clouds started rolling in. We had to move everything inside around 12:30 when the rain started coming. After we got everything inside the rain stopped. Boy was I disappointed - it was just so great having everything outside with room for people to move around and see all the great bargains. The weather was just too iffy to take everything back outside again so it is set up inside.
Since we had to interrupt the sale a bit and things got kinda outta place, we have decided to continue with the Trash 2 Treasure sale on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. If you didn't get a chance to stop by on Saturday, this is another great opportunity for you to get some good bargains.

There are plenty of idea magazines for a quarter, decorative scissors for a quarter, paper is about 10 cents a sheet, slews of stamps, a few QK Squeeze tools, plenty of plastic templates, loads of brand new stickers and chipboard embellishments. There is a lot left to choose from so be sure to stop by tomorrow or Wednesday to pick up some bargains.

New Products HERE NOW

We have gotten a ton of new products in the store in the last few days. Remember that new company called Black Market Paper Society...their papers have arrived and they are great. We also got our order from Piggy Tales, Moxxie, and Imaginisce arrived last week with their Halloween line, including the dollar stamps, and their Christmas line which is adorable.
Scrappin' Sports & More has arrived with their new sports paper as well as new personalized schools including Stratford, Marathon, Tomahawk, Edgar, and Antigo. Sugartree came in with their outdoorsy papers as well as their Grand Canyon papers (Mt. Rushmore was a real hit), new QK Alphabets, and Dream Street Designs papers and stickers. We are expecting more this week and hopefully the new Reminisce schools papers will show up soon.

Be sure to check everything out the next time you stop by.

ScrapPink Crop

Scrapbooks, etc. is partnering with the Susan G. Komen Foundation for a ScrapPink funding raising campaign in September at independent scrapbook stores across North America. The campaign will culminate in an exciting “all evening” crop at Scrapbook Studio, on Friday, September 26, from 5p until 2a. Yes, ladies…nine hours of none interrupted cropping time. It will be a fun, late night and it is for a great cause. It will give you plenty of time to get many of your layouts done.

We will feed you dinner (no - not pizza), plenty of chocolate, beverages, munches, free “make n’ takes”, goodie bags and door prizes. $10 of your crop fee will go to the Komen’s mission to find a cure for breast cancer through research, education, screening and treatment and is tax deductible. All of this for only $30 which includes the $10 donation fee.

Be sure to call the Studio at 715-845-8859 or stop by to register for this fun event to help find a cure for breast cancer.

Cell Phone for Soliders

Don't forget that Scrapbook Studio has partnered with "Cell Phones for Soliders" and have become a drop off point for your old cell phones. We have already sent one box off and are waiting for more donations.

Do you have cell phones that are useless? Don't know where the cords are? The battery is dead? Please consider donating them to Cell Phones for Soldiers, a non-profit, recycling program to "Help Our Troops Call Home". Drop them off at Scrapbook Studio and we will send them on to Massachusetts to be recycled.

Every 16 months, U.S. consumers are retiring an estimated 150 million cell phones and less that 10% of those phones are recycled. There are tons of phones in junk drawers across American, waiting to be collected and turned into calling card cash. Each phone provides an hour of talk time to soldiers serving abroad.

You do not have to be a scrapbooker to drop off your phones, so please send this email to your co-workers, freinds and family members. Let's get the word out that you can drop your used cell phones off at Scrapbook Studio.

Check out the website of these two teenagers who started this program:
